“Best food for miles around”

This is a beach hotel, but calling it a resort or club is a stretch. The rooms are fairly spartan: two single beds, a bar of soap in the bathroom and that's about it. There is A/C in addition to an overhead fan, a TV set which gets a few snowy channels and an enclosed glass shower in the bathroom.... more

We stayed in this wonderful hotel in december 2005, yes we were there during the Tsunami, we had a beach room, fortunately on the 1st floor. In response to another review on this site the vast majority of people survived although it was obviously very frightening. The staff were FANTASTIC I can't praise them enough.
