The Westin Casuarina Resort & Spa, Grand Cayman

Stayed at the Westin over Christmas & New year. The hotel is a very nice property and the beach is amazing. Rooms very comfortable and maid service was exceptional. The only thing i have to complain about is some of the front desk staff. Most of them were very helpful but there was a couple who came across as unfriendly... more

My husband, 10 year old son and I stayed here in early June '08 for five days. Sorry for the late review. We had a great vacation! We booked on a SPG special rate -- 50% off rack rate (had to call for this not available online). After missing our connection in Miami and no luggage upon arrival -- it... more

Thank you Amanda & Peter! Our family has never "cruised" before and we have never visited Grand Cayman. Reserving a Jet ski tour based on Trip Advisor recommendations seemed very risky ... but we are so glad we did. Peter and Carolyn were gracious and responsive to our questions before the excursion and that really helped build confidence. On the... more

We were quickly tired of the prices at the Ritz Carlton, but found this really cool restaurant just next door by searching TripAdvisor. The fish tacos are great....second only to ones we have found on Maui. They also serve french fries along with mushrooms, onions, and jalapenos in what tastes like tempura batter. INCREDIBLE! The owner and servers are very... more

I found this resturant on the Trip Advisor site. We are at the Ritz Carlton and the prices here are crazy. When you open the menu, you find that each steak comes with a starch, a vegetable, and a steak sauce....AND a martini! It was just fun to discover that the first drink was included. We went in without a... more

We staid in the Barefoot Lagoon Island house for two weeks. Great location and nicely appointed house. When the airconditioner broke in the kids room and they had to sleep in the living room, however, nobody was doing anything about it.We called the property managment company but nobody showed up. I suspect they did not have authority to replace it.... more

Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman

The Ritz Carlton was by far the most beautiful resort I have ever visited. Nothing was overlooked from the clean floors to the wonderful service. We stayed in a 1bedroom blue tip suite. The suite great and pleanty of room for my husband, 1 yr old son, and myself. The only thing differently I would do is stay directly on... more

We just returned from our daughter's destination wedding on Grand Cayman. Although her wedding was through the Grand Marriott, most of the guests could not afford to stay at the Marriott and most optted for the Comfort Suites which was right next door. Although the wedding was during Christmas week (12/29), the most expensive week to be on the Island,... more

Grand Cayman is a great place. Pretty much the best of everything that you would want from a beach or beach town. Beautiful beaches, incredible water, amazing restaurants, very safe, impressively clean, other activities including golf, the turtle farm, stingray city, georgetown, etc. The only couple things I could think of that someone might want that weren't readily seen by... more

Only great things to say about Jim Soda and Seasports diving!! My husband and I and 2 teenage sons did a 2 tank dive with him at Christmas and we couldn't be happier. I was doing my 1st open water dive for certification and Jim and his assistant, Wade, made me feel comfortable and safe. A very professional group. Safety... more

After a long overnight flight from Washington, it was nice to get off the plane and have a driver holding a sign with our name on it, ready to take us to Cobalt Coast. We had a two bedroom suite, which was large and well appointed, and with a private patio with a great view towards the north wall of... more

Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman

This hotel is humongous yet it is very elegant and classy. If you stay on the beach side it is on the opposite side of the hotels main entrance. There is a skywalk to connect the two. Make sure you get booked in a room close to the elevators. Even though we were on the beach side it took 15... more

Jim Soda and his staff were very professional and extremely knowledgable about the Cayman dive sites. I have three sons who were diving with me, and at all times Jim and his staff made us feel comfortable, safe and exhilirated. Their professionalism and regard for safety, along with their congenial dispositions (not to mention their wonderful resturant recommendations) will bring... more

This is not a five star resort. It is no where near a beach. It is built on rocks. You can not even access the ocean. We had to take a taxi everywhere we went and it cost almost $25 US everytime we went to dinner, so $50 in taxi's just to go to dinner. There was no shampoo/conditioner/lotion. Just... more

We have stayed here many times and find it a good value and good location. Continental breakfast included saving you $ given the prices on the island. Just returned from Grand Cayman. Prior to getting there I emailed back and forth with Carolyn to arrange the trip to Stingray City. Amanda picked us up from our hotel and we met Peter to begin our trip. My husband and three teenage kids had a blast... I would highly recommend fatfish. And that's the point. Seven Mile Beach is beautiful but it is loaded with every sort of tourist imaginable. Turtles Nest is on the other side of the island with its own beautiful and EMPTY beach. This was Christmas week and we had the beach to ourselves nearly every day. Snorkeling from the beach is spectacular but it gets windy... more

Swim with the Sting Rays and feed them. They are a bit intimidating but once you are in the water you'll be ok. Bring a water camera, this is something you do not want to pass up. If you can try to book your tour with a combo that includes Seven Mile Beach. more
