Pack a few bottles of water each, good hiking shoes, and wear your workout gear and towel as this is cardio at the max. You'll sweat! Imagine 5 km of pure uphill wilderness. There are railway ties to make stairs for most of the way, but these stairs are steep and they don't stop until you get to the top.... more

Grouse Mtn was on our list of things to do on our pre-cruise visit in early July 08. The mountain was in the clouds most of the day but cleared up in the afternoon, so we decided to go. We took the Seabus and city bus, very easy to use. We paid the rather pricey admission and went to the... more

Grouse Mountain is easy to get to from central Vancouver. A quick ferry ride and transfer to a bus and bam, you're there! We took the gondola up the mountain to check out the views and explore a bit. Not being much into actual skiing, we were looking forward to some ice skating, as was advertised, but sadly the rink... more

This was my families 2nd favorite attraction, withour first being going to the top of whister mountain. The views from Grouse are really amazing of Vancouver. We didn't really do anything, other than ride the little open chair ski lift after we got to the top, but the views were just so awesome. For someone who has been on a... more

Went to Vancouver last year. Foolishly thought that all of Canada would be as amazing! Went to Toronto this year, and was disappointed (to say the least)!! Anyway, made me think about the highlights of my trip to Vancouver, but I found this really difficult (everything was amazing)!!! Anyway, Grouse Mountain stood out - it is a place of great... more

Loved Grouse Mountain. We went there at the end of June. We also took the Sea Bus from the Waterfront and the 236 express bus. We got a day ticket for all the transport that cost us $7 as we are both over 65. During the day both the ferry and the buses go at 15 minute intervals. After a... more

We went to Grouse Mountain on a warm and sunny day in June. The views from the gondola and the mountain top were spectacular. We took a further walk up to the very top of the mountain by the skiing chairlift drop-off, up a steep dirt road that's used by the SUV that brings parasailers up, for even more spectacular... more

We went in May 2008, on a whim, snow was already gone, but the tourism BC lady insisted there were plenty of activities in spring/summer. Lumberjack show funny/amusing. Bird of prey show informative. Looked at the grizzly bears and wolves who slept and never moved. Nice views from the gondola. Would have been more fun if we had hiked up... more

We went skiing there and found it to be way to crowded. 1 hour waits for lifts and long lines prevented us from enjoying ourselves. The gondola is spectacular but don't go during the Xmas Week unless you get there real early. The snow is wet and it gets foggy on the slopes. Less money than Whislter ($47 vs. *$83)... more

A wonderful cable car to the top of the mountain giving great views of vancouver and the surrounding areas. We saw the grizzly bears which are lovely and there are some walks aroudn the mountain. You can also walk across to some other peaks if you have 4 hours + to spend. We walked part of the way and the... more
