Outside, the Duomo Cattedrale is an amazing and complex art work. Inside, seems sober and simple but impressive thou'. The apreciated free entrance implies a simple payment ... respect and humility. Please dress and behave properly, let silence be the only thing noticed inside. Climbing to the top is certainly a must do, by stairs (recommended for its symbolism) or... more
As an International Flight Attendant I am use to seeing beauty around the world, but the Duomo Cathedral was a WOW!! And as others have said... "Go to the roof"!! The views are incredible and the details in the architecture are surreal! I was fortunate to be there during Mass, as well, and although I am not Catholic, it was... more
On a whim, I decided to make a stop-over in Milan enroute to India. With no information on the city, I made my way to the center of town and of course came across the famous Cathedral. The interior of the Duomo, by comparison, is dull. There are... more

The inside is also breathtaking. I spent a great deal of time walking around the interior of the Cathedral. I rented the self guided headsets and... more
This is a great thing to do on a clear day, worth paying for the lift and don't forget your camera. We took lots of beautiful photos. more
We saw a lot of churches in Italy, and the Duomo in Milan was by far my favorite and the most beautiful. But it also left me heartbroken: the front facade of the church is still under wraps for renovation. After seeing the rest of the church and the piazza, you just know that there's a masterpiece behind all the... more
