The Ny Carlsberg Glypotek is well worth a visit if you are near Tivoli. The museum is housed in a lovely and easily navigated building that was recently renovated. We went to the Glyptotek today on Sunday (it's free), and were impressed with its displays. Their collection almost rivals that of the Vatican museum with regards to ancient Egypt, Etruscan and Roman statutes. The art collection of this museum is first class but its staff is not. On three differect occasions (by three different staff members) we can feel they seem particularly unfriendly to foreigners. I have visisted many other museums in Copenhagen but can not share the same experience. more

We spent two days in Copenhagen. The first day we came to the Glypotek. Think of any first class museum (on a bit smaller scale perhaps) with a fraction of the crowds and you have the Glyptotek. Well worth however much time you can spare. more
