We traveled to Santiago for a short period of time and wanted to see plenty. This bike tour was a great way to see the interesting areas of Santiago. Our tour guides were very informative and laid back. If you're in Santiago for a breif period of time I'd highly recommend it. more
Went to Chile on vacation. Spent 2 rows of 4 days each in Santiago.Discovered La Bicicleta Verde (labicicletaverde.com) browsing folders of things to do on a table at the hotel. They have like 4 tours to offer. Each one with a theme. It was very pleasant and instructive too. Weekend tours are recomended, because the trafic is lighter. more
Bicicleta Verde was the best experince I had in Santiago! My husband and I were in Santiago for only three days and because of B.V., we learned so much of Chilean life, history and culture! We took both day tours throughout the city with the most amazing guide, Glen. His passion and pride for Chile transcended through every stop and... more
Three tours and four guides later, I complete my grand sweep of Bicicleta Verde. I have been in Santiago for almost four months and have spent over twelve enjoyable hours with this unique company. My first experience with Bicicleta Verde was the afternoon Parks & Politics Tour, which obviously impressed me enough to bring me back for each of the... more

The guides cover everything -history, culture, politics, food, bars, museums - and each group is small, so the tours are personalized. The AM tour shows you the real Santiago - markets and murals, Neruda and the main plaza. The... more
I arrived in Santiago a few days early last month (August 2008) to enjoy the city prior to a three-week business trip throughout Chile and Peru. I spent the first day recovering from my overnight flight from New York City and discovered La Bicicleta Verde while browsing online for interesting things to do in Santiago. With all due respect to... more
On the glowing recommendation of a few local ex-pats, I tried out La Bicicleta Verde. It definitely lived up to the reputation. I took the 7PM night tour, which weaves up through wealthy Las Condes into beautiful, residential Vitacura and back into Santiago through the parks along the river. The guide, Peter, a 4-year vet of Santiago from Kansas, supplied... more
My fiancée and I did a whirlwind trip through Santiago before heading over to Argentina in June 2008. We loved our tour experiences with La Bicicleta Verde. We did the morning and the afternoon tour, as they were different. Guides were different for each tour. They gave us a list of recommendations for restaurants and places to dance, or museums... more
