We just returned from a weeklong stay in Bermuda at the Hamiltonian resort. We had a wonderful stay. The room was clean and spacious and the views were breathtaking. We were guests of a relative who used her time share. Well...the place was terrible. The smell was awful. There were no drapes or blinds on the front room sliders. We have stayed at the Hamiltonian twice. Aug 2002 and July 2003. Both times were wonderful. We stayed in the one bedroom condos at the bottom of the hill overlooking the water. I am surprised the Bermuda government has not done something about this place. The paint is peeling, there was an abandoned building next door and the rugs looked like they had been through the Frat party wars. We left and went to another hotel. the hamiltonian island club is nothing like the writeups and advertisements. the rooms are dirty, there is no service, the screens are full of holes, the ac is not working, cabs that run at their leisure provide scant service. This place leaves a bad taste and will never allow me to return to Bermuda more
