Just returned from my first visit to the Grand Lido Negril and it was excellent. The service was outstanding, all of the staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly Nicole & Christopher. The food was excellent and the entertainment as well. My room was about 10 steps from the water with a beautiful view. After booking my trip to Grand... more

My wife and I got married here in 2003 so it holds some sentimentality, but I have found things changing year after year, usually for the worse. There are some tips we recommend for ensuring a good time. BEACH: My wife and I go for the beach! There is not a better beach in the area for beach going. It... more

We've stayed at 2 other superclubs, Hedo3 and Sans Souci (before they went to Sandals), so I don't think we had unrealistic expectations. We expected a luxury resort, which is what the Grand Lido brand is about. The only thing luxurious was the beach (which is very very nice). I'm afraid I have to agree with a lot of the... more

My wife & I just returned from our 4th trip to GLN. We had a great time again. After a 3 hour bus ride through the rain, we arrived and were brought to our room within 5 minutes of getting off of the bus. Duane had our bags at our door in only a few more minutes. We had booked... more

We woke up every morning to the beautiful views of Bloody Bay. Grand Lido really does have the best spot on the Bay. Our room was 1060, first floor of the c/o beach. Standard room, nothing fancy, but it was clean and that's all I care about. It was nice having the mini fridge for beverages too. The first two... more

We spent 5 nights at the Grand Lido, Negril in Nov. 2008. We travel all across the world and were never as disappointed with a hotel as this. We expected a four star resort and found a place totally unmanaged a few notches above a youth hostel. Where to begin? The only good food in the entire Resort is the... more

Date: Nov 3-9, 2008 We booked our vacation with Air Jamaica on the Web and paid about $3189 for 6 nights. This included a room upgrade from garden view to ocean view, and a $150 spa credit (which I didn't even know about until the 4th vacation day). We were married at this resort in 1999 and had a fantastic... more

Just returned from a 3 night stay at Grand Lido Negril. Having stayed all over the Carribbean (Bahamas Cuba, Dominican, and Mexico as well as Jamaica before) I have been in many hotels. I will say first off that we did have a wonderful time as we are head over heels in love and would be happy in a shoe... more

Just returned back from a 8 day trip to Jamaica staying 4 nights at this resort.I have stayed here about 7 years ago enjoying the luxury and upscale enviornment.but it seems like they are letting this property go down fast. The employees working are extremely nice and overall helpful. The nude pool area is very dated, terrible beach and very little activity.The... more

Our stay at the Grand Lido far exceeded our expectations. Our "garden view" room was right on the beach. I'm not sure if we were upgraded or if the "garden view" rooms are simply first floor rooms. The food was fantastic. Make your dinner reservations before you go or immediately on arrival. The room service food was excellent and suprisingly... more
