Mago is amazing. It's beautiful, peaceful, surrounded by mountains and water, but it is not for everybody. The rooms are open, with views of the Carribbean so be prepared to feel absolutely engrossed in nature. I am a New Yorker so it was such a thrill. Roosters woke me up every morning at 5am and I swam ten laps in... more

The mago Hotel as a splendide view of the Pitons which can be consider for wonders of the World. From the Room, restaurant, Pool, you have this amazing view of the Pitons, ocean and souffriere city. The food from the restaurant is very good but can be a bit expensive. And I found the service to be a bit slow... more

What an amazing place to stay. I nearly missed it after reading the awful review given by one guest. The place is above the town of Soufriere (which is in it's self held back in time). The town is so quaint with old style colonial french architecture. I decided to stay there as i found that ll of the natural... more

The most amazing place i have been to in soufriere, st luicia is mago hotel. It is situated up in the hills giving it a wonderful view of the pitons and town below it. The new manager of this establishment is a nice english man who owns a internet cafe in the mall at the centre of the town. We... more

Do not stay here. Though the hotel appears luxurious on its web site, it is far from it. For $225 a night, my husband and I expected, at the very least, a clean room to relax in, and did not get it. We booked our reservation with the hope of getting local Caribbean flavor, not wanting to be isolated in... more

We arrived at the hotel an hour after being picked up at the airport. Once we arrived people were scrambling to pick up our bags, but also wanted to be compensated. Everyone and their mother will be asking you for money here!!! The staff wasn't prepared for us and had to put us in another room. We were put in... more

I only stayed for 1 night at Mago after staying at 4 different locations throughout the island over a 3-week visit. I chose Mago as it was only an hour from the airport (Vieux Fort), plus I had started the holiday with 2 nights at the Jalousie Plantation (luxury and more expensive) and wanted to experience something more boutiquey and... more

Upon arrival we walked along the pretty main pool to our room, which turned out to be a big suprise. A spacious room, spacious bathroom, high ceiling and... one missing wall. This wall is open, no windows, no curtains, just open air with a beautiful view of the bay and the Pitons. You truly are in the middle of nature,... more

Mago as the locals call it is a group of diconected buildings perched on a hillside connected by steep stairs of wood stone or concrete. The setting is lush tropical rain forest. The lobby, bar, and reaturant are all open air. Food is good but expensive. the thing that make Mago special is the welcoming atmosphere of the place. Ask... more

Really beautiful location for Soufriere...After going to use the beach at Jalousie I wouldn't bother with spending the money or time on the beaches here..the northern end of St Lucia is way better. Mago is a really good spot to rest on the sun lounges, read and dip in the pool, look at the Pitons and get out for couple... more
