We just got back from such a wonderful stay at Guana.. I was a bit worried at first because we were traveling with my whole family for my mothers 60th birthday and we were bringing out two boys ages 3 and 1 and alot of the reviews talked about how un child friendly Guana was- but i found the opposite-... more

Our friends rented the entire island from June 5 - 9, 2008 for a spectacular private birthday celebration. They invited 37 friends and family members to join them. We flew into Tortola and were quickly greeted and escorted to a waiting boat at a nearby dock. After a brief 15 minute boat ride, we docked at Guana Island and were... more

My husband and I researched the rental of private islands for his 60th birthday. In May 2007 we went to several locations and found Guana to be perfect. Ann Christine in New York made planning the parties and room requests. We had several couples with mobility problems and she made sure they were close to the dining areas. She was... more

I am so sad that I am not still there..... If you want to experience excellent service, beautiful views, sandy beaches, great snorkling, good food and a relaxing holiday you MUST go to Guana. My family rented the island for my dad's 60th birthday and there were 39 of us on the island in total, I can't sing praises high... more

What can I say? We just got back from a memorable first stay at Guana Island, and I can't wait to return. I had read a number of reviews before going, the most helpful being ScubaMom's (on the internet). This is an 850-acre island paradise, self-contained and private, with a host of amenities, activities, great home-cooked food, and lovely staff.... more

We have recently returned from Guana and the only complaint I have is, that we are not still there. The journey from the UK is a long one, but worth it. We were met by the manager, Jason on arrival who was very friendly, but not OTT.We then met April who also was very freindly and very helpful and showed... more

Given this was our fifth visit to Guana, we were already looking forward to returning.to this, our favorite travel destination. What's new, beyond the ever pristine natural beauty of the place, is the highest level of guest services of all our visits. While the hospitality was always fine, what kept us returning was the sheer beauty and privacy - we... more

Recently, my wife and I went to Guana for a 3-day escape. We got exactly what we came for and absolutely loved it. This paradisiacal island of 850 acres is an idyll removed from what the rest of the Caribbean has become and is becoming. The facilities are lovely and simple, consisting of ten or 12 small hilltop buildings all hidden... more

True to their website's claim, Guana is a Virgin Island that still is. Tortola may have traffic jams, Virgin Gorda, specifically Little Dix Bay, may have sleek, marble-bathroomed villas on the once untouched hillsides, but Guana Island is still pure. Preserved. It is the Caribbean in its closest-to-pristine and untouched state. The beauty of this incredible place is not the... more

After an easy flight through Puerto Rico, to Beef Island, we were taken by boat to Guana. The first impression was quaint, low key and a good place to relax. Turns out, it was too relaxed. No phones, no tv's, nothing to do after dark except go back to your room. After the first full day there, we'd had enough.... more
