We had a week long stay in The Bahamas, starting with two days at the Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort (Nov 22-24) followed by 5 days on a sailboat in the Exumas. The first part of the trip served as our delayed honeymoon (as did the second part of the trip; however, we were accompanied by my wife's parents for the... more

We arrived late on a Friday night and had a smooth check-in. The lady at the front desk notified us of the $15 pp resort fee per day, as well as a one-time bellman charge, even though we didn't use the bellman. As a Starwood preferred guest, they already upgraded us to an ocean-view room on the top floor. We... more

This was a decent hotel. The room was spacious and nice, but every time we left food out, sugar ants were everywhere! This hotel was also very cold in November, even though it was warm outside. When you adjusted the thermostat to "warmer" cold air came out. I called the front desk and they chuckled saying, "we don't have heat... more

My wife and I stayed at this hotel from Nov 7 -10, and I honestly wish I could go back in time and rebook this trip at another hotel. I will also confine my comments to this particular hotel and not opine about any other spot on the island. I don't even know where to begin, but I will say... more

First, we are very seasoned travellers (over 30 trips) and quite laid back. I have also never written a review before BUT feel compelled this time. The world economic situation seems to have hit Bahamas hard as our hotel was only 20% full. Overall this hotel was a hugh disappointment. The phone didn't work, the Internet was spotty, the hot... more

I was there with a group from November 6 - 9 of 2008. I have read some of the other reviews and felt the need to write my own experience. From arriving at the hotel until we left, service was friendly with large smiles from the staff. Courteous check in service. Bellman were gracious and eager to help all of... more

We just came back from visiting Nassau (Nov 8-12 2008). We stayed at the Sheraton on a trip to gather information about our wedding for next year. We got a special rate from the events coordinator. Beware that a $15 per person per day fee will be added to your room rate. Also check over your bill when you check... more

Where to start? So many problems, so many shortcomings... If you are on business (which I was) do not stay at this hotel under any circumstances. The Internet (advertised as inclusive and high speed) was out for virtually the entire duration of my stay (with the exception of one 10 square meter area in the lobby). In addition for the... more

The hotel was very nice. The grounds were clean and well maintained. Heated pool with a swim up bar called Edgewater. Several other pools and whirlpools but these were unheated. Nice beach but the water was a little cool for us at this time of the year. The staff were very polite and accommodating. Don't listen to the negative comments... more

We just returned from 5 nights at the Sheraton the first week of November. This is one of few hotels I have been to that I will not be returning to! The only reason I didn’t give it a worse rating was because the hotel beach, pool, grounds, and rooms are very nice and well maintained. My boyfriend and I... more
