I stayed at The Catalonia Las Vegas hotel with my husband for a two week wedding anniversary & birthday break. The hotel was reasonably clean only saw one rat, many cockroaches though. The room was nice but no fridge. It overlooked the pool with a nice balcony and had the sun all day.The nightly entertainment did not start until 10.30pm... more

This is not a four star hotel. It struggles to be a three star. The whole hotel needs a make over to satisfactorly meet the three star standard. When you arrive you have difficulty in finding the entrance as the hotel appears to be housed behind and above a Macdonald 's Restaurant. Not what you expect of a four star... more

My husband and I stayed at the hotel from December 27, 2007 till January 5, 2008. We chose this hotel based on the reviews from this site and I want to thank everybody who shared their impressions about the hotel, because you helped a lot for us to make up our minds. And the hotel was up to our expectations.... more

Just returned from having spent a month at the Catalonia Las Vegas Hotel (Jan-Feb 2008). On arrival allocated a sea-view room which was fine other than the fact that this side of the hotel receives no sun & is consequently chilly. Requested a move to room overlooking pool which was granted with no fuss - what a difference ! -... more

This hotel is right on the beautiful Lido at Puerto de la Cruz . i found the staff friendly and my room was nice. Try to get a room with a balcony overlooking Avenus de generalismo as the sun shines there morning to night. The only problems I had were 1) The TV had no English speaking channels, not even CNN... more

Just returned from staying at this hotel. Going on past experiences this hotel should be rated 3 star and not 4 star. The room we had was clean but small with a very small shared balcony Depending on which side of the hotel you are on, there is also a lot of noise from nearby all night disco's. Other than... more

We stayed here for a week commencing 15th August 2007 and had a super time. The guests were mainly Spanish (which I think was a good sign) plus a few Italians and Germans with a few Brits arriving the day we left. The room we had was on the 10th floor but there were three lifts and even though the... more

Stayed at the Las Vegas for 2 weeks late Jan/early Feb 2005. Weather disappointing, hardly any sun, low cloud most of the time but around 64-68 degrees. Hotel food excellent, good variety and nicely prepared with restaurant overlooking the lower end of the Lido. Bedrooms clean and comfortable. However, no proper lounge, just large open plan reception area with a... more
