Spent 4 nights at this wonderful hotel at end of November 2008. had previously stayed in 2006 (review written) and thankfully nothing had changed (apart from renovation of the Reception area). Hotel car picked us up at the airport and we were checking in 20 minutes later. Porter took us up to our room on the 2nd floor where a... more

Stayed at the Kaiserin Elisabeth hotel for a one day visit to Vienna. The hotel is in a great location - right next to the main shopping walking area and to St Stephan's Cathedral. I was able to walk to the different sites with no problem. Hotel is near the Metro. Breakfast was very satisfying. Couldn't believe the walk-in shower... more

You just don't get any better than this hotel location. Right in the center of the city. WONDERFUL!!! Perfect place to stay. Staff was very nice. Free computer use. Felt like a real European hotel--and it is :) Room was a bit small, but perfect. Linens very amazing. Said the hotel is non-smoking, But VERY smoky and they have ashtrays... more

We spent 5 nights in a fantastic room - nothing was too much trouble for the staff who were helpful and courteous all the time. I'm just waiting to go and stay there again. Everything was spectacularly clean and comfortable. Although very close to the city centre the position in a quiet side street was unsurpassable. more

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights, in an upgraded double and a single room. Location could not be better, rooms were very nice and very clean. the single was large and a great deal at 113 euros a night. upgraded double probably a bit high at 232 euros a night .The double was on the street and a... more

The location was fabulous ... you could walk to every historic attraction very easily. We never had to use any type of transportation. Shopping and restaurants were very close by. This is a small hotel of very good quality, but perhaps its best feature is its position. Litterally right in the centre of Vienna, a dozen paces from the main pedestrian shopping area and no more than five minutes stroll to the cathedral. Most other city centre attractions are easy walking distance - the Imperial Palace, Spanisg Riding School, Opera... more

Lovely hotel! Front desk makes you feel at home instantly. They know you by name the second time you enter the hotel. When asked, the front desk will give good hints for traditional coffee houses, sight-seeing etc. The house is old-fashioned in a charming way, while it's still modern enough the same time: Wireless LAN available in the lobby, LAN... more

We have just returned from 4 days at Kaiserin Elisabeth. Absolutely great. The staff on reception, in the dining room and porters were very friendly and some of the most helpful people we have encountered at other hotels. Nothing was too much trouble. Our 2 rooms were very quiet, extremely comfortable and kept spotless. There was plenty of choice at... more

This hotel was on the pricier end of the budget we like to keep when traveling in Europe, but it was worth every Euro! The location can't be beat, we walked everywhere. The reception/concierge service was first-class all the way. They recommended EXCELLENT restaurants, helped us decide what kind of show to see, and were able to get us tickets... more
