1.The garage fee is 29 Euros a day, instead of 24 Euros a day, as written on their website. 2.The breakfast room is too small, and when is crowded, cutlery and glasses are NOT quite CLEAN! 3. Complicated procedures for Internet: in room only with modem, with charge, at reception hall, the WLAN requires user & password. more

The location is without a doubt the best thing about the hotel. It is literally on the side of St. Stefan’s cathedral and we can hear the bells at all times (this could also be very annoying). You are right next to the pedestrian zone and the subway station, which is nice. However, there is a supermarket across the street... more

My mum and I stayed at the Royal Hotel during our four day stay in Vienna and had a fantastic time. The hotel is right in the centre, just around the corner from St. Stephen's platz and cathedral, a few minutes walk from the shops (designer and high street) and about ten minute walk from the Spanish Riding School and... more

We started off our Honeymoon in this Hotel. Unfortunately I was sick with a head and chest cold so we spent most of the time in our room. The staff were excellent is assisting us with our various requests for restaurant locators, room service and medical assistance. They were friendly and always willing to help. The room was outdated but... more

My girlfriend and I chose this hotel due to its location and four star rating. The rewievs we read seemed to be mostly good, and we have found this to be true. The room was cleanand the bed was comfortable. Unfortunately the air conditioner was not very cold and a large lamp in the corner, 2 chairs and a desk... more

We stayed at the Royal Hotel for 3 nights during Euro 2008. We made the reservation using a web-site in October 2007 and were a bit at unease considering the other reviews. To make sure our reservation was in order we made a call to the hotel a week in advance. We had made a reservation for 4 rooms and... more

As I've read carefully all the reviews posted before I traveled to Vienna, I was really worried thinking about the problems that I might experience taking into consideration what the others travelers shared: poor customer service, overbooking and so on. Arriving at the hotel I had one of the best surprises: not only that the location is absolutely great- few... more

I booked this hotel because its location is very good. The hotel belongs to a hotel-chain that also includes Graben and Regina. A friend of mine had told me that one week before she had booked at the same hotel and they told her there was a problem at their system and there was not availability at the hotel. Her... more

I had booked and prepaid a reservation in this hotel at the end of February 2008 at mid-December 2007. The day we arrived there we were told that they were over-booked and had to move us to a partner hotel. We had chosen Royal hotel for the location which is absolutely great, near Stephansdom, and we had to go to... more

We spent the winter holidays in Vienna and chose Royal Hotel based on the reviews praising its location (which is indeed great) and the fact that it has been recently refurbished. Bad idea. The room was recently refurbished indeed - floors have been changed, yet there was no carpeting, which tends to be quite cold and annoying during winter. The... more
