I went to Trondheim for a conference and the Rica Hell was one of the conference hotels. The hotel was fine but small like other Scandanavian hotels I've experienced. I was pleasantly surprised that the bathroom floor had radiant heat which kept the bathroom nice and warm. The hotel has free wireless internet and a decent selection of TV channels.... more

Nice hotel, clean rooms, free internet. It is very expensive if you book during the Aqua-Nor or Nor Fishing exhibitions in August. The main problem with the hotel is that it is located 30 minutes outside of the city. The Hotel is very close to the airport, so if you have a very early flight it is convenient. more

This is a good quality 4 star hotel. It has a pool, the staff are helpful and the breakfast is brilliant. But if you are visiting Trondheim you should know that Hell is about a 5 minute walk from the airport, but also a 30 minute drive from Trondheim centre. Train and busconnections to Trondheim are abysmal (1 an hour)... more

Stayed one night (employer's christmas party) in late november 06, and it was ok. nothing more, nothing less. Room was fine, visited a collegue in a suite (also fine), but nothing spectacular. They have large conference facilities and good food. Both breakfast and dinner was better than expected. more

I have been there for business with a group. We probably had some discounts. Is it a reason to give us terrible rooms? In my reservation, I asked for a non-smoking and very quiet room.
