Jill and I stayed for three nights whilst visiting friends and family between Christmas and New Year. Excellent value for money. The room was spacious; the shortage of drawers and wardrobe space my only really complaint. The included continental breakfast is more than adequate. No cooked option though if that's what you want. There were lots of families staying, so... more

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. I found it very reasonably priced, and in a very convenient location, only a couple of minutes walk to the shopping precinct and about 10 minutes walk to the sea-front. Plenty of free parking. The building itself is no beauty, built of raw breeze blocks, and it´s in a built up area,... more

Thank you for your positive comments regarding your stay and the friendly staff it is very much appreciated by all. I am sorry to hear that your meal was delayed and can assure this has been investigated, with steps in place to ensure this does not reoccur. Thank you again and we look forward to welcoming you back to the...

This hotel is fairly close to Poole rail station and the busy Dolphine Shopping Centre and Bus Stations, the down side is its surrended by busy roads with limited safe crossing points on foot. The hotel does sit within its own car park and this keeps noise from the busy roads down. The rooms are of a good size and... more

Thank you for your comments regarding your recent stay at our hotel. I apologise that during your stay our breakfast was not to our usual standard. Our breakfast consists of croissants, rolls, danishes, fruit, toast, 5 different cereals, yoghurts and hot and cold drinks. We have taken steps to ensure our complimentary breakfast is kept to its usual high standard....

I've never had to remove the last user's excrement from an IHG Hotel room toilet seat before so Poole provided me with a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Until the next time. The half-counterpane had more hair than I have and the floor under the bed looked like a car-boot sale. The bathroom was begging for a Domestos makeover and - NOW GET... more

Firsty I would like to thank Curmudgeonly for taking the time to write this review and apologise for the below par housekeeping issues that they appeared to experience. I can assure you this extremely unusual and is being investigated. Although I do find it strange that anyone would stay in any room which apparently had someone elses excrement on, I...

Having stayed at various hotels within this area on several occasions for business, the hotel provided a very friendly and warm welcome. The stay was very comfortable, the hotel was within good distance of all my business appointments and provided a relaxing base to return to. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful which helped towards a very enjoyable stay.... more

Have stayed here on a number of occasions on business and always had a relaxing comfortable stay. Thought I would write a review on this occasion as a couple of recent ones don't match my own experience. Everything worked, room was clean and staff were smart and friendly, especially Lee who went out of his way to make sure I... more

This was quite possibly the dreariest and most dismal hotel I have ever stayed in. And to be honest - it wasn't even that cheap. It averaged out at around £110 per night. First of all, upon arrival, the staff at Reception showed a distinct lack of interest in us. We were then assigned a room which reeked of cigarettes... more

Room usual Holiday Inn good standard. Breakfast was terrible. Coffe machine did not work - the alternative offered was hot water and powdered decaffeinated coffee. The croissants and other pastries were inedible. One was told to turn the "toaster" up to full or "You will wait all day" and then having done this one then had to manually eject the... more

This hotel appears to be built from unfinished concrete breeze blocks so is not very attractive from the outside. The lobby/restaurant area is ok, the bedrooms very basic. Both our children complained about how uncomfortable their bed was, the tv reception was quite poor. The breakfast was a big let down, the staff seemed unreceptive to complaints. The OJ tasted... more
