Have just returned from a week at the Grand Hotel Continental in Tirrenia, cannot fault the hotel, staff very friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble. Arrived in Tirrenia, and saw this hotel. Thay had a room, so check in took 10 mins and we were then around the pool-- Yes a 50 mtr olympic size pool- amazing. Room/bathroom were very clean, and balcony overlooking the beach. Breakfast was normal Continential style, and there were plenty on restaurants close by we didn't make it to hotel... more

This place is abysmal. The room we had was miniscule, had no view, a grotty, discolored rug and a free-standing mini fridge as the "mini bar." The staff was reasonably pleasant, but could not make up for the dismal atmosphere and run-down, ill-conceived infrastructure of the hotel itself. I would strongly encourage people to seek shelter elswhere. more

I spent two weeks here and must say it was a fantastic hotel. Some parts could do with a lick of paint, but I could say that about most hotels in Italy Breakfast is continental buffet and also has scrambled eggs and sausages. You will not be disappointed by this Hotel. We paid £70 for a room with a sea view and Balcony. Food was very good and the Hotel is well situated. more

I stayed at this hotel in June 2007 with my husband and 3 year old daughter. The hotel is modern, comfortable and very clean. It is situated in a great location right on the beach at Tirrenia and close to the shops and restaurants. The beach gets really busy at the weekend as all the locals arrive for some sun.... more
