The Harbourside Apartments are an excellent place to stay if you have to park a car - for free! - but want easy access to the centre of the Sydney. The ferry stops right outside and so does the bus. Take note, however, of timetables as the bus doesn't seem to run on Sundays, and the last ferry most days... more

We spent 10 days in Sydney with our two children (8 and 3) and my Dad and his girlfriend. We were in a 2 bedroom and 1 bedroom apartment on the 11th floor which both had windows facing frontwards and sidewards so we got the fabulouse views across the harbour as well as Lavender Bay from ours and up river... more

Contrary to some previous reviews (probably sour grapes) there were absolutely no bugs in our apartment at Harbourside/McMahon's Point. The place was spotless and very comfortable, and I have never seen a cleaner fridge. But the best thing is looking out over the harbour, and seeing the ferries come to and fro - from your bed! We like to stay in apartments when travelling with our two children aged 2 and 1 so we can cook for ourselves. We stayed on the 16th floor and had fabulous views of the harbour and the bridge. We were able to see the ferry coming across to our ferry stop (right outside) and then rush down to greet it.... more

We loved staying at the Harbourside Apartments. Ferry right outside the door and lovely views of magnificent Sydney Harbour. I stayed here on business and found it was adequate. I prefer to stay in apartments when I'm away for work as it allows you the freedom to cook yourself. I had a room that didn't overlook the harbour so no views for me. The apartments at the back get the afternoon sun which is lovely. The rooms were comfortable... more
