By far the biggest disappointment I have is discovering 2 days into my stay that the slide-down window was not closing properly.. I woke up with congested sinuses (cold air getting through the gaps) and I had trouble staying warm. I was perplexed that staff in the hotel failed to notice and repair this issue. To top it off heating... more

We were looking for an affordable weeknight room while checking out the Nationals new stadium. The front desk staff was very courteous and helped us find parking, as well as recommending an area within walking distance where we could find a variety of restaurants, shops, and bars. The bed was comfortable, the breakfast room was like eating in someone's dining... more

I was pleasantly surprised by the Windsor Inn during my stay and would definitely stay there again. The Inn is located in a nice neighborhood and I felt safe walking there at night. I had to catch a cab two mornings and had no problem. Both times, I got a cab within 5 minutes of waiting. On previous visits to... more

I had an awful experience at the Windsor Inn. I stayed there for one night, in the supposed deluxe room, which was just a few ugly and uncomfortable beds, with an old tv placed out of view. The taps in the sink did not work, when I tried to call reception, the phone did not call out. And the worst,... more

We tried everything possible to help our guest resolve her issue to no avail . From the start this guest made it difficult for us to please her. When she complained we tried to get in the room to check the sink & telephone situations but she refused us access to the room. Later we found out everything was in...

If you need a place to stay in DC that's in a safe and quiet neighborhood, accessible by bus and metro, a clean place with a touch of homeyness, and all these at a very reasonable price, then this is the place to be. Indeed a very rare combination but it's all here at the Windsor Inn in Washington DC. more

I have been staying at the Windsor Inn for 7+ years on business. It is the only hotel I use in DC. It is a great value and the rooms have a special kind of charm. I feel very much at home here. It is almost like having my own little apartment in the District. The staff are very friendly.... more

This is one of the worse hotel experience that that I have had in the continental United States. Reserved for two nights but had to run away the next morning as fast as I could. The place need some serious renovation, the room quality cannot be described . Some of the previous reviewers have used all the words I could... more

Please do not think of staying at this hotel. I stayed on business. While the front desk guy was nice, I was afraid of getting murdered in my room. It was in the basement and not secure. I could push in the door even when it was locked. The room was so small, I felt like I was in a... more

I was entirely disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The experience begins with non-existent parking; the management recommends that you move your car around the neighborhood during daylight hours to avoid tickets. You are then given the key to your "garden room", a windowless box in a basement. The decor is somewhere between attic chic and dumpster deco, highlighted... more

My husband and I stayed in this "Victorian" hotel for two nights. The location is about four blocks from the Dupont Circle subway (10 minutes) and around 15 minute-walk to Kalorama District. The room and bath were very clean, the staff very helpfull and the price was reasonable. Definitely I recommend this hotel. more
