I have a great stay in the Holiday Inn Guatemala started with the Room, the hotel give me a Executive Suite (in the 17 floor ) when i buy a Standard Room. The rooms are clean and the hotel is conveniently located in Zona 10. There are a few issues: no complementary water in the room and part of the breakfast buffet is off limits unless you pay extra. I stayed here on a long weekend in Guatemala City. It's located in Zona 10 (aka Zona Viva). It's the central business/nightlife district and is very safe. I have stayed at this hotel on three separte occasions and have never had any problems. This holiday inn is nicer than most Holiday Inns in the States. The hotel is located in a safe area and the service I have recieved has been excellent. more

It's a Holiday Inn. Nothing exceptionaly good, nothing exceptionally bad. Decent sized rooms with adequate housekeeping. All-in-all, at $70 a night with taxes and buffet breakfast included, not a bad deal. Next door is an excellent restaurant, the Casa Chapina.....give it a try. more
