I booked a 3 night stay via the hotels website direct and got a good deal on 3 nights for 2 in a Deluxe room. The room was fantastic and a high standard. Large comfortable bed, sofa, cheap mini-bar, walk-in shower, corner bath, 32inch LCD TV, safe, balcony, I couldn’t fault this hotel. Only drawback would be the corridors to... more

WHAT AN ABSOLUTE HELLHOLE - THE PIT OF THE EARTH!!! The previous year we stayed Bangkok and Phuket -Brilliant. This time wanted to return to Bangkok but also somewhere a bit livelier than Phuket. Our Travel Agents recommended Pattaya. WHAT A DUMP! Our room was so disgustingly dirty, with electrical sockets hanging off the wall and the whole room absolutely... more

Yes, the noise was very bad and I had been robbed by Thai gang in the hotel, the staff didn't care, never called the police and just smiled, pretending nothing happen. On New Year's eve had a guy chasing me around for a bottle of champaigne??!!!-never ordered any, then left me alone in a couple of days. Yes, the iNternet... more

The online reservations for this hotel are not accurate. Online it says 1300 baht but the hotel charges 2000. They raised their rates. I'l be fair in my review but I need to start by saying the Sunbeam was the worst hotel I stayed at during my 3 week vacation. 2000 baht a night is just too much. The hallways... more

Stayed here end Nov 2007 and was very nice. As someone else said get an agent or someone Thai to book it as it's cheaper. We paid 1300 Baht per night (which was a bargain! and reflected in my rating) but I know if you walked off the street they wanted something like 3900!!! They charge 600 THB for extra... more

Stayed here in April 2007, Room clean but in need of updating. Its seems that all the hotels I stayed in Pattaya where really rundown. Maybe because thats what you get for $50- 60 a night. The front desk tried to over charge me. I was quoted 1800 baht a night by my travel agent and when I arrived they... more

We have stayed here 3 times in 3 years & find the staff very helpfull, the rooms are in need of decoration, the pool area is very nice but a bit small. There is no gardens as the hotel in right in the middle of the town, but its within walking distance of the bars and shops. I will go... more

Stayed in so many hotels in many countries including bangkok and phuket in thailand but never experienced such a horrible service experience right from reception, bell boy, housekeeping, restaurant to each and every soul of this hotel. Request and plead to each and everyone to pls never ever dare to stay in this hotel even if offered free. more

If you’re looking for a budget hotel that is centrally located then look no further. The Sunbeam is ideal for anyone wanting to be close to all the bars, shops and night life. The hotel has 256 rooms all with air conditioning, balconies and cable TV. Although the hotel is basic the location is the winner for anyone who likes... more
