My fiance and I stayed at the Sofitel El Gezirah from the 15th of October to the 22nd of October. The lobby space was beautiful and functional (people actually spent time there), all of the bars and restaurants were beautiful as well. What a hotel! This is a real 5-star, with 5-star service. The location is amazing as all rooms have a view on the Nile and Cairo, unless you are unlucky and get a room on the first couple of floors whose view "may be" obstructed.
