On arrival at the Robinson Crusoe Inn in Valparaiso and immediately upon seeing my room, I was so pleased with myself that I chosed this hotel, among the several websites I reviewed for Valparaiso. The entire place was tastefully and beautifully decorated from the reception throughout. The floor where breakfast are being served offers an splendid view of Valparaiso, and... more

Avoid this hotel at all cost. It was a disaster. We arrived at 8PM. It was the least friendly welcome of a hotel in my like. The did not even say hello. Just demanded a passport and gave us a key. The guy who owns the hotel is clearly in the wrong business, as he never even looked up from... more

We do welcome and encourage reviews that criticize either our performance (staff-owner) or infrastructure, with real and true facts. This way, we can better our service and delivery.> Anyone that has been to the Inn knows that both my staff and I go out of our way to accommodate any and all needs of our valued guests and will...

Our two-night stay in this charming hotel could not have been more fun and interesting. The top floor of the place, 46 steps up from our bottom floor "suite" was dazzling, well worth the trip itself to sit in that fine space, enjoy the endless view, and delight in the lavish breakfasts. Also a great place to read or needlepoint.... more

My three buddies and I just got back from Chile and had a great stay at the Robinson Crusoe Inn. The hotel is as unique as the city of Valparaiso and the service, views and attitudes of the staff were all first rate. The late check out was greatly appreciated as well. Well done Jorge--the process from start to finish... more

Robinson Crusoe Inn in the heart of old town Valparaiso sets a new standard for what I define as a "Boutique" style hotel. The unique quality of this old time Sailing Ship theme establishement was surpassed only in service, food quality and the best panaramic harbor view in the city. The hotel is located on a quaint narrow residential hillside... more

We stayed at Robinson Crusoe one night following the recommendations at this site. We were not quite as smitten as the rest of reviewers. The hotel was quirky, our room was ok but not great, and the breakfast, although served on china in a beautiful dining room, didn’t offer much choice and we did not like what was served. Also,... more

In February of this year, my wife and I cruised South America from Buenos Aires around Cape Horn, through the Straits of Magellan and finally, to Valpariso. We both felt that the major mistake we made was that we did not schedule several days in Valpariso at the Robinson Crusoe. When we entered the Inn, we were greeted by the... more

very nice hotel with small suites, perfect service and a quite unique experience in terms of architecture : the hotel is made of platforms for each room, linked by lot of stairs... sometime, you feel like you are living in a tree...the breakfast will also remain as one our of best momet in Valsparaiso, for both eyes and mouth ! more
