We stayed in this lovely hotel for only 2 days but it was great. They have the normal continental breakfast, choice of fruit , toast and juice. They have 1 computer where its first come first serve internet access which was great for checking my email back home. The rooms have a lovely art-deco vibe and were spacious enough. We... more

This is my second stay at the lovely Hotel Aurora. This hotel has vintage Spanish architectural features, including beautiful tile floors, and the rooms are nicely decorated with period furnishings. There is a lush peaceful garden with a fountain in the center plaza to enjoy. The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly and helpful and the breakfasts are delicious.... more

I have stayed in Aurora Hotel many times, and every time was the best experience ever. Beautiful rooms, very friendly, and discrete staff, serene, and safe. I will come again, and again, and I am recommending it to everyone who goes to Antigua. more

This hotel is in a great location, near restaurants, internet cafe and shops. Located on one of the best streets in Antigua. The staff were very helpful and spoke perfect English. The breakfast was wonderful, consisting of a fresh plate of yummy fruit, fresh bread and the best coffee. The courtyard is breathtaking with gorgeous vegitation, flowers and a large... more

Very convenient location, clean rooms (with TV) and bathroom, and a lovely courtyard. Attentive staff was available at all hours to help us. The only disappointment was their free breakfast which was extremely basic and consisted of bread, jam, a small glass of juice and coffee. Also, there is a sweet shop opposite the hotel which sells typical Guatemalan sweets... more

Lovely central hotel with friendly helpful staff. Located only three blocks from central square but once inside the main entrance it's a haven of peace and quiet. The rooms are built around a courtyard garden with seats outside rooms to enjoy the tranquility and breakfast is also served in the courtyard. Great location with good restaurants, bars and shopping in... more

Hotel Aurora is the medium-priced hotel in Antigua. We originally booked another hotel (Posada Don Valentino) online and upon arrival found it dreadful. We visited practically every hotel and posada in Antigua. The Aurora was, by far, the nicest place we saw. We managed to get a room due to a cancellation and then reserved for the next week after... more

I started out in the Casa Cristina but walked by this beauty and fell in love with the courtyard. This hotel is very popular so book early. I was lucky that someone had cancelled so I got almost a full week. I loved the staff and they did a great job with the free breakfast. My room was very quiet... more

We recently returned (Feb/08) from two great weeks in Guatemala, and the first three nights were spent in The Aurora. It had been recomended by another family member, and we were not disapointed. We arrived in Guatemala City very early in the morning, and the hotel had sent a driver to bring us to Antigua. Even though it was long... more
