I have stayed at this hotel 3 times already as well as other hotels in Medellin, including the Intercontinental, and by far, El Porton has been the best experieience with larger and better furnished rooms, excellent service and a very, very good location. more

I stayed at this property in late July 2007. The room was quite large. Internet access was average. Location was first class, in the middle of El Poblado (the area where you want to be in Medellin), and right next to the Oviedo Shopping Mall, and another large 24 hour a day Supermarket chain. I recently stayed at the Porton de Medellin. I found this property to be clean, modern, safe and the service was excellent. The guest rooms were spacious and oversized. The guest room had a nice TV with satellite channels, cd player, minibar, hard wood floors, and nice decor. The marble bathroom was an added bonus. The location is in an... more
