I think because there are not many other choices for accommodations in Tzfat, the Ruth Rimonim gets away with over charging. We were surprised to see how small our room was. For the price we paid for the room, around $280/night, we also weren't thrilled that we had no view. We'd recommend making it a point to get a room... more

The Ruth Rimonim is in a gorgeous setting and the old buildings are beautiful and historic. The views from the hotel are breathtaking. However, the staff is ineffectual, uninterested in guest's needs and just generally unpleasant to deal with. My husband and spent a couple of nights at this hotel in May, 2006. From what we had read, we expected a marvelous experience. No so! The staff was surly and not at all helpful, the food was AWFUL, and the hotel itself was dingy. The views were the only redeeming factor. My advice - stay anywhere else! more
