When I read the critical reviews of Villa Galilee, I had to wonder if some people can ever be satisfied! The Villa Galilee is a charming, small hotel with lovely gardens and beautiful views. You have a choice of climbing steps or walking a ramp to climb to the main entrance. Within the building, there is an elevator. This is... more

the review before this one is too harsh. It's basically a nice place with friendly but unintrusive owners and is as described on the hotel's website. While the bathrooms are a bit tired, the hotel is clean and has a certain charm. It is quite a good touring base for Galilee/North Israel. more

Terrible service from the check in till the end, especially in the restaurant (Russian staff, completely inexperienced). The room was nothing special and the bathroom was tiny and dated. The breakfast buffet was quite good, especially the home-baked bread. Since this is a small family-owned hotel, you expect a homely feel. Instead, the owners are unpleasant and almost shun the... more

We just returned from the Gaillee and our 2-night stay at the Villa Gaillee was fantastic. The hotel reminds me of the places I stayed at in Europe. Lots of great furnishings and a friendly staff. We booked a standard room which had satelite TV, DVD and the room had wireless connection. I disagree with the previous reviewer who was... more

The Villa Galilee is an escape from the large hotels you find elsewhere in Israel. It's not in the heart of Safed, but it's only a few minutes away. The views are great, and if you can get a room on the first floor, you'll have a delightful balcony. Rooms are a bit on the small side, as are the... more

I read the previous reviews and expected much more than what's there.... Beautiful gardens. Don't expect more than an average B&B. Overpriced. We had the penthouse. Good size, nice roof top with a hot tub (takes over an hour to fill, and leaks pretty badly...). Good view. Furnishing and decore are below average. Bathroom is small. They provide a small... more

We loved this little gem. Beautiful garden full of lavendar and rosemary; close your eyes and think you are in Provence. Great vviews on Mt. Canaan down to Sfat and over to Lake Kinneret (Galilee). Very comfortable, cozy lobby. Nice clean rooms with great views and good cross ventilation. Beautiful fresh breakfast, great fruits and breads and nice spread of... more

Wow! Compared to many other experiences with hotels and kibbutz guest houses in Israel, this was really 5 star. Bed sheets were 5 star (that's important to me!), bathroom was 4 star and restaurant was 5 star, both food and service. Price was higher than we would have liked to pay, but you can't have 5 star at 3 star... more

Villa Galilee is a special and cozy place with great ambiance and lovely romantic rooms. The hotel is located at the vicinity of all the main attractions such as the sea of Galilee, the Golan heights and much more... We loved their hospitality and service. The inhouse restaurant has a lot to offer - recommended!! We enjoyed also the SPA... more
