I stayed at the Royal Plaza as part of a group, and I think many people staying there were doing the same. Morning hours there will be numerous buses pulling up to collect the travelers. Location: Location is not that great for this hotel, because it is not in Tiberas town, per se. It is outside of town - you... more

I was part of a pilgrimage group who stayed at the hotel for two nights in September and I really enjoyed my time there. From the moment I arrived the welcome I received and the service provided were all excellent. The room was extremely comfortable with a very nice view of the lake and it satisfied all my needs. The... more

First of all- amazing nature around. And if you are lucky to get a room with a sea view, you will never forget your days in this lovely hotel. It's calm and romantic. I wish i could visit it again. more

The room was lovely - everyting worked including the showers and the air con. The food was varied and there was something for everyone. The white wine was atrocious - riesling or riesling/colombard (the latter was for european taste yuk). Please supply some sauvignon blanc or something dry. The red merlot was lovely. The english bar is a joke -... more

We stayed here because the tour company booked it. It must have been a good price for them. Here are a few of the problems: 1. The a/c didn't work. We were told not to open the windows because it was "mosquito season". 2. No clock in the room. 3. Bathroom towels were newspaper thin. 4 The TV was leftover... more

Little did I realize that this would be the best hotel on my tour of Israel. At the time I was staying here, I would have said that this hotel was an average hotel. But, in comparisson with the others chosen by the tour operator, this was the best. Unfortunately, the hotel is not close to anything else. After your... more

The only people that stay here are on tour groups. The dinner hour is very busy and loud. There is nothing miserable about this place, but I wouldn't choose it with other options around. It does have internet which all the hotels over there don't. more

I am a tour host and I have stayed in this hotel in 1998, 1999, 2001, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006 as part of tour groups. While it is not aesthetically as pleasing as staying elsewhere, the food is absolutely wonderful. The dining experience is well above average - at least a five - and far better than any other... more

I recently stayed at the Royal Plaza as part of a tour group. The hotel was okay, although as the previous poster noted, it could use some refurbishing. The major problem is no air conditioning, which was an issue even in February. The fan only works with the heat, so you have to open a window or it is very... more

I recently stayed at this hotel as part of a group package. The hotel is located a few steps from the sea of Galilee. The location seems pretty safe, we walked one night to the shores to pray and there were no problems. The room was small, the towels were thin, tiny soap provided. There was no clock in the... more
