The River House is an absolute gem. While I stayed in five hotels during my trip to Sri Lanka, this was the one I would make it my mission to return to next time. We were also lucky enough to stay at The River House for 3 nights as the only guests. It wasn't weird or uncomfortable, the way being the only customer in a restaurant is. The River House was thoroughly splendid. We were spoiled rotten by having the place to ourselves. Jerome and his team do a wonderful job of providing a wonderful service without being intrusive. The rooms are truely magnificent. It was a wonderfully relaxing experience - a real grown-up's get away from it all break. more
