We booked two rooms for two families through Hotwire. Flew into Philly on a red-eye, spent the morning seeing the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall...then made our way over to the Harrisburg area. We were happy they were able to get us in before the 3pm check-in time...until we opened the door to our room. Imagine the stench of a... more

I went there with my family a long time ago. We were originally staying in Howard Johnsan but the room was too small. We packed up from there and went looking for another hotel. We found this one so we checked in. The first room was good but it was small and the toilet was clogged so my dad called... more

The room was beautiful and cool when we walked in, despite the 90°+ weather. The bathroom was clean and spacious. The room itself had a refrigerator, microwave, table, chairs, and TV. It was very clean, very professional, very nice, and very worth the money. The staff was polite, helpful, and clean-cut. The continental breakfast had a wide selection, was delicious... more

Hotel recently underwent renovations---looks great! The front desk clerk also looked great. She was sweet and very pretty. Manager was not on duty for both nights I was there. That was a little alarming. Country Oven restaurant is under new management also, they have really stepped up. Continental breakfast is in hotel now. Overall I really liked the experience. The... more

This property is conveniently located to Hershey, which is why we stayed there. It was a one-night stay, which was good, because staying for a longer period might have been a bit more than I was prepared for. The good: This property is conveniently located to Harrisburg and Hershey. The room appeared clean, though somewhat dated. There is an indoor... more

Stayed here for a pet room, Sleep in your car with your pet instead, what I got was a VERY STINKY PET room with leftover garbage. You know a room is not clean when you find garbage behind and under 4 different places. I had booked a couple nights and on my last night I got everyone up at 4... more

Hotel: good place to stay, hottub/pool and adjacent restaurant that serves alcohol are nice bonuses. However staff was terrible. We travel up to 10 weeks a year in hotels and encounter all types of situations. 2 staff members here were awful. One night staffer quizzed us for 10 minutes one night coming in dead tired from the horse show (in... more

Because the hotels in Hershey were horrendously overpriced, I found this hotel which is approximately a 10 minute ride from Hershey Park and Chocolate World. I was pleased when we arrived. They had not received my request for a child roll away bed, so instead they upgraded us to a room with 2 queen and a pull out couch, for... more

Upon checking into our room, we checked the bathroom and discovered that the toilet had urine and feces stains on it. That was just the beginning of an experience that was the worst ever. Between things not working, the place being filthy, and rude and arrogant desk people who did not know anything about customer service, we didn't even stay... more

I stayed at the Best Western Harrisburg August 2005 with a group of family and friends while we visited Hershey Park and Lancaster outlets. The hotel met our expectations. It was clean and comfortable. I was in a King Suite. Very spacious. Nice jacuzzi tub and fireplace. The others had double queen rooms with microwaves and refrigerators and were satisfied... more
