BEWARE of extra charges! I am a frequent guest at Marriott hotels and used Marriott Rewards hotel points to pay for my room. Therefore, the cost of my room was $0. When I checked out, noticed that the hotel had charged me $80 for visiting their bar and had issued a credit to me the following morning for $80. I... more

Overall, this was a pretty good visit. The people were hit or miss in both the company I went to visit - as well as the hotel staff. The hotel staff front desk initially was very good. I was asked by the front desk person who greeted me "how was your day?" to which I replied "where is the bar?"... more

The food is TERRIBLE!!! I mean, BAD. The hotel is nice and has a great location. Unfortunately, parking is a real problem. I literally could not find one single space. I went to order room service and it was shockingly bad. I will never eat there again and I am hestitant to stay there again. more

We stayed this weekend in the Marriott in Spartanburg and from check-in to check out we were treated fantastic. We got a huge room on the 9th floor, with the usual Marriott furniture, the huge outside pool/Jacuzzy is wonderful as well as the well equiped gym wit Steam Rooms and Saunas in the locker rooms. The Hotels Style is more... more

Wonderful front desk guy upgraded us to a room that had the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. I skipped the pool just so I could go back and nap. Huge bathroom, great complimentary Bath and Body Works toiletries, great restaurant. Overall an excellent place to stay! more

Stayed here for a wedding in June, 2008. We had to wait 10 extra minutes for the maids to finish our room. The manager then gave us 2 vouchers for free breakfast and lunch at their in-house restaurant. Very nice! The pool was clean and relaxing. The fitness center is spacious and functional, with attached sauna and steam rooms. We... more

My daughter's college softball team stayed there for the weekend. The team travels with their laptops to do their homework. It is ridiculous that this hotel charges a fee for internet services for a traveling team who must do their homework on the road. The majority of the students are on athletic scholarships and can't afford to pay a $10... more

I am actually staying at this property now as part of the NC & SC Bed & Breakfast Association annual conference. First the positives, and fortunately they far outweigh the negatives. The staff is exceptionally friendly and accommodating. As a former, and current hotelier, I need to mention names. Upon check-in (and might I add they graciously allowed me to... more

A large, full-service hotel and conference center in downtown Spartanburg that offers competitive room rates but other necessities such as internet and breakfast costs extra. The telecommunications charge of $9.95/day which includes internet and local calls is ridiculous. You can walk to downtown attractions and restaurants. Rooms were marginally clean. There was "stuff" on the carpet and I found a... more

We stayed at this hotel on 11/17/07. When we checked in, the room appeared to be very clean and neat, but upon entering the bathroom and raising the lid on the commode, I found that not only had it not been cleaned, it hadn't even been flushed. I notified the front desk and they offered to come and clean the... more
