While difficult to find, it is definitely worth the journey. The owners were lovely and the setting is beautiful. We stayed in the "Boys Room" which was by far, the largest room we had during our travels with a wonderful view. more

A very friendly and welcoming country house hotel with real character set in amazing scenery on Exmoor. Anne and Eddie Eyles, the owners, make your stay very special. The room was lovely with fabulous views and the food was fantastic (breakfast, dinner and afternoon tea!) I have stayed at this hotel for the past three years - the length of time the present owners Annie and Eddie have owned it and I can say that the service, friendliness, food and rooms are second to none. This is a small privalely owned hotel run by the owners who are also the chefs. Food is excellent with a lot of the ingredients produced and farmed in Devon. A great central location for trips around North Devon with an excellent restaurant. Excellent hospitality from the owners. The restaurant alone is worh a visit. Comfortable large individual rooms. A wonderful spot for country lovers due to its proximity to Hunters Inn, the start of many pathways along and around the North Devon Coast. First class breakfast, great afternoon tea's. more
