I was in Chattanooga on business. My wife flew into Knoxville and I drove up. We stayed three nights. It's a bit of drive through the countryside of Tennessee to get to Walland. You turn onto a non-descript road off of a two-lane highway and drive past house trailers and ranch style homes. You know you're close when you see... more

The overall experience at Blackberry Farm is superb. We stayed in the 4 bedroom Cove Cottage, which is great for a big group. Loved walking the trails on the grounds (property has 4,000+ acres) and touring the garden and dairy. Food was very good - highlights were always the more simple dishes using ingredients from the farm. Preferred the dining... more

Coming back from our winter home we stayed at Blackberry Farm for 4 nights. We also invited two other family members to join us . To say the least it was a disappointment. The staff is young and eager to help in anyway they can but Its obvious that "cash flow" is more important than keeping the place up to... more

In all fairness, we did not have the opportunity to experience Blackberry Farms, for while on our way there, I received an unexpected diagnosis of cancer. This necessitated our prompt cancellation of our trip and return for urgent definitive care to keep me walking. Upon booking, I was, in all fairness, informed of their policy of non-refund of any fees... more

I am on the management team with Merrill Lynch a well known, worldwide stock brokerage firm. We recognize the top Financial Advisors in our complex each year with a trip. We have chosen many venues but I have to say that this trip was absolutely hands down the very best yet. Blackberry Farm is a lovely farm in Walland TN... more

Heading north after a winter in fl we like to stop at resorts and make a trip out of it. Late attempts at booking The Cloisters at Sea Island and the Sanctuary out side Charleston found no rooms available. That sent us searching for alternative spots of similar quality. We found Blackberry Farms web site and it was very polished.... more

Blackberry Farm is a lovely, special place with incredible grounds and classy, understated, very "American" buildings. If I were to build a house I would show the architect pictures from Blackberry Farm. We had a very nice time but it seemd pricey. We were on a road trip with two kids to visit an elderly relative in poor, rural KY... more

Okay, it was very expensive but we thought it was worth every penny. The rate included breakfast, lunch and dinner and the food was beyond wonderful -- fresh, innovative, generous and well presented. You would pay $150 a person at dinner alone for the level of service and the quality of food anywhere else. The grounds and faclities are gorgeous... more

Very nice cottages. Appointed like the rooms at a good Ritz Carlton. The woodwork and the walls were sort of dinged up and shabby, and the bath fixtures were Home Depot. They stock the minibar with complementary snacks, this was nice, but not $1700/night nice. Meals are all included-which is a necessity-considering the paucity of eating establishments outside of their... more
