As I have visited the Vulcano many times over the last 10 years I would just like to add my bit to the sunbed debate! This problem seems to get worse and the hotel do nothing to put the matter right. every year I fill in a questionnaire and state the problems with reserving sunbeds and suggesting alternatives. Booked this hotel a the last minute and have to say it was excellent. Just returned from 2 weeks holiday, hotel reception, rooms, food,cleanliness cannot be faulted.Biggest letdown is the pool area ,"Regimental rows of bike sheds" offering little in the way of shade from the normal 12 months sunshine.Unless you are prepared to get up at 5.00am to put a towel on bed you could move about you might as well forget it!... more
