The Almazara is perfectly OK - clean, comfortable (except the pillows), I just can't see why you would stay there. It's not in Loja, it's a drive away from anywhere. It's also not actually in the countryside - the highway is about 2 minutes away and you can hear the constant, if distant drone of the traffic as you attempt... more

Exceptionally friendly staff, very good food in the restaurant (including locally caught Sturgeon and Trout) and a good wine list make this a must-stop-at in the region. Only downsides are the very-clean rooms are just OK in terms of decor - trying to be luxury, but not quite making it. The bar a little stark. Breakfast the usual uninspiring Spanish... more
