I went to Mamacitas guesthouse right after labor day. The island was slow. All the locals did was talk about how glad that the season was finally over. I stayed in a room with a kitchen for 80 a night for 5 nights. It had cable TV, witch I never watched except for in the morning before the beach, or... more

We read a bunch of reviews for Mamacitas before we booked our room and people are right, it is a really fun place to be. The iguanas are awesome. The restaurant and bar is a good time, the servers and bartenders are great, but the hostess was pretty rude. Just let her get you a table, order a drink, and... more

IF YOU WANT A SAFE & SECURE RESERVATION, DON'T BOOK WITH MAMACITA. Reserving a room with Expedia for this hotel made for a vacation nightmare. I booked 3 nights with Mamacita through Expedia and never slept one night there. We booked our reservation months in advance and arrived to a full and overbooked hotel. We were told that they typically... more

Hi felIow travellers! I stayed at Mamacita's for a while... It's near town before the bridge. This was a nice experience for $102. a night for 2 people. They have airconditioning and it worked well (you know how some AC don't do the job.) They have satellite TV and a DVD player with movies to borrow from office with a... more

Culebra lodging is expensive, especially considering what you get for your money. This was our most expensive hotel stay ever—when we have paid out of pocket, not on business. We had the cheapest room and it was $102 with tax. The good: Our room was very clean and we never saw a single bug. Unlike some tropical lodging, the room... more

Pretty basic but nice place. Proximity to the great restaurant/bar downstairs makes it worthwhile. The rooms are small - we paid slightly more for access to a veranda view of the river which was probably not worth it. more

I thought the place was basic and cute. had everything we needed, a clean bed, hot water, AC, and the TV even had cable and a DVD player. the restaurant was ok but I liked Dinghy Dock much better. also be on the lookout for all the iguanas... more

I stayed at this place in January 2006 and I just loved it. Don't expect too much from the friendly, yet aloof staff and prepare yourself for the occassional cold shower, but you'll hardly be dissappointed. The restaurant had lost its liquor license when I was there, but you were allowed to bring your own, which turned out to be... more

Three of us stayed in a suite. There was a separate bedroom in the back with a full bed. In the front near the door was another full bed. The bathroom was tiny was adequate. We had a minifridge in the front room and a shared balcony outside the front door, which was nice. The music from Mamacitas can be... more

Mamacita's guest house in Culebra has only a few rooms, but they are all wonderful. We took the room/suite on the top floor and paid (as I recall) about $90 for one night. We had a view of the river, and out to both ends of the bay. The best thing about Mamacita's is the restaurant and bar. When we... more
