I can't imagine a more perfect beach or easier acess to it. It reminded me of staying in Moorea...just blue water and powdery sand. The only drawback is the very expensive and restricted choices of food and drink. The beach is sandy and calm and large and just perfect. We loved it. more

We were met at the airport by the friendly hotel driver and whisked to the Tamarind Beach where we were greeted at the reception with a much needed cocktail. When we checked in we were upgraded to a Suite, which was superb and would definitely recommend booking this. The location of the hotel is absolutely stunning, the beach is huge... more

Our experience with the hotel started with Mr. Samuels. He answered all of our questions, and arranged our flight from Barbados. Everything went well,we were met at the airport by the hotel mini van, and welcomed at the hotel by the lovely ladies at the front desk and Oscar. Couldn't have been smoother! Oscar showed us to our room which was... more

Having been to Canouan five times in the past three years, I've become familiar with the island, its people, and facilities. I recently spent an entire month on Canouan (having lost my job, I needed time to think and re-evaluate my life.) A friend who is a Canouan native, found an inexpensive place for me to rent...from a married couple... more

Well...my husband and I just returned from the Tamarind and overall we enjoyed ourselves. It was definatly an adventure being that we traveled all the way from Texas. We flew into Barbados from Miami, then onto Canoan via Mustique/Grenadine/SVG Airways and the ride over on the charter was definatly one to remember! The pilot put up a sun visor in... more

If your idea of paradise is an action-packed, all-inclusive, compulsory-fun-times Club Med resort, then read no further. However, if you're looking for a chilled-out and perfectly secluded barefoot retreat with powdery white-sand and crystal-clear water then maybe, just maybe, Tamarind is for you. My wife and I spent weeks searching the internet for a quiet, mellow Caribbean vacation spot. Eventually,... more

We have just returned from a week at the Tamarind Beach and wished we could have stayed for a month. The hotel is on one of the prettiest beaches I have ever seen with powdery white sand and turquose sea that never seems to have any seaweed or rocks to hurt your feet..one of my pet peeves! There are three... more

To celebrate our anniversary, we wanted a very quiet, restful spot to spend our week and we certainly chose well. The beginning of our journey was rocky to say the least missing the connection to San Juan to make the only flight of the day to Canouan (we were traveling on Friday, AA doesn't fly in again until Sunday). We... more

Canouan is a nice little island with some beautiful beaches. The hotel is OK if you stay day or two, as most guests arriving on yachts do. However, staying 5 days there was slightly boring, especially because of the lack of facilities and activities around (be sure to do power boat trip around nearby islands!), never changing restaurant menu and... more

We stayed for a week at the Tamarind in Canouan. Our stay was FABULOUS and for us there are really only great things to say about the Tamarind. This will probably be a long review because I really want to give additional information to people considering the awesome Tamarind! When we arrived on Canouan after a 20 minute flight from... more
