I really appreciate you taking the time to review our hotel. Im glad to hear things were quite during your stay. We recently added double paned windows to the hotel for that reason. Thank you for taking the time out to review us. The one thing that sticks out is the front desk. I strive to have professional front desk agents but unfortunately they are like robots at times. I will remind them that adding a smile and personal touch to service is very important.
Partly based on the reviews I read here at Tripadvisor, we made our decision to stay at Comfort Inn Gaslamp for our July 4th getaway. Just like what people are saying, nice clean room, good breakfast, great location and friendly staff. We will be back. more

As said in other reviews, you cannot find a better value in such a great location. Its near the Buca restaurant and is walking distance to Horton Plaza mall, the bars & restaurants and shopping in the French Quarter. I stayed at the Comfort Inn Gaslamp from May 12-17, 2008. This is the place to be if you want a central location downtown. Fifth Avenue is literally right out the door, with all its restaurants and entertainment. The waterfront is a short 10-15 minute walk away. Petco Park, home of Padres, is also close by. Moved to this hotel for the convenience of being in the Gaslamp district. The hotel itself is nothing to brag about, especially when the first half of your trip is in a really good hotel (Sophia). But the location was good. more
Our hotel offers a clean, well maintaned facility with many complimentary amenities that the fancy hotels don't. We are a 2 star hotel with 5 star service and location. Thank you for your comments. Cris Vasquez
Location cannot be beat. The room was small and nothing special but did have a refrigerator. I also liked the business center where they had three computers with internet access and a printer which came in handy several times for getting directions. Budget hotel that beats the big "plastic palaces" associated with conventions and business. Small rooms, but clean and with good amenities including free breakfast and free wireless. Pleasant 15 minute walk to Convention Center, and Gaslamp District is right out the door. Latter can be a bit noisy on party nights, but beats the sound of train whistles near waterfront.... more

We knew what we were getting ourselves into, thanks to lots of reviews. Room was small, had a sink in the bedroom.
