While the hospitality was so nice upon arrival, the level of service diminished as our stay continued. We had a great welcome (arriving at 6am instead of early afternoon) from a sleepy staff member who quickly got us into our vacant villa. Granted, the bees in the bathroom were not prepared for us (they did leave eventually) but our AC... more

After some discussions we decided to stay in Life in Amed. Sarah, the owner, were really helpful to answer our needs through e-mail. The hotel itself is really cute. The pool is not so big but it is clean and really artistic. We choose the Ocean View Villa, okay, it is not really ocean view from your terrace, but you... more

This place is adorable. We are not ritzy, all-inclusive people. We enjoy small boutique hotels and this one was perfect. We stayed in one of the little cottages - they are very clean, have a cute Balinese style and really nice outdoor shower. The staff were very nice to us and breakfast was always good. We had dinner there one... more

Life in Amed is fine. The garden is lovely, and the big, pricey bungalow by the sea has nice furniture and a fantastic view. But the regular bungalows are quite dark, the food and massages are lousy, and when you leave, the staff will hit you with small and heretofore unmentioned charged for using the computer or the snorkel. Better... more

We moved to this hotel after our first hotel, Blue Moon Villas, ended up not being quite what we'd hoped (see separate review). The reviews below are spot on - this is a special hotel with a wonderful staff. They catered to all of our needs with patient smiles. Susie at the front desk is a real gem and helped... more

We traveled all over Bali and this place holds a special place in our hearts. Not only is it elegant but it is magical and the staff couldn't be more accomodating. The rooms are gorgeous, all with 2 levels and traditional Bali touches and open air showers that are great (walled so there is privacy). We stayed in the direct... more

We stayed at Life in Amed for four nights at the beginning of this month. We chose to to stay in Sari sunrise villa, it was wonderful the showers(we had 2) were open to the stars and the bed faced the ocean, just couldnt bring myself to close the curtains! It was spotlessly clean and the staff were superb. The... more

Life In Amed is a very nice hotel, as soon as you walked into the reception you knew this was going to be a really nice, friendly, traditional place. Great value at $45 a night for two with breakfast. The rooms are still great and are described by other previous visitors, one king size bed and two singles on the... more

We stayed here for part of our honeymoon, it was very quiet and there was only one other couple at the hotel. We stayed right on the beach front in honeymoon suit, it was clean and the sunrise in the morning was amazing. Nothing was too much for the staff, we were treated like kings, they organised a drive trip... more

Just got back from a 3 night stay at Life Amed. The traveling party consisted of 3 families, each with kids (ranging from 7 months old to 12 years old). Life Amed is a charming property located right smack in the middle of a fishing village. Overall, it is a great value. My husband, toddler, nanny and me stayed at... more
