Wonderful Aloha service at checkin, Front Desk agent Jean was very accomodating and upgraded to ocean view suite. The hotel was obviously not full and the larger, nicer room was appreciated. The fitness center is one of the best I've seen in any hotel. more
Perfectly serviceable hotel for my needs (work). I cannot imagine staying here on vacation, but then again, I'm not into Waikiki Resortland so I wouldn't want to stay anywhere in the vicinity. Big plus is its location - it's fairly easy access to H1 and just around the corner from Ala Moana/Nimitz. For those who need to be near a... more
You won't confuse this hotel for a Hyatt or Hilton, but it's a great value for being pretty much right in the middle of Honolulu. The staff is friendly and the location is pretty great. It's also a lot better than many of the shady non-resort places in Waikiki. Good: It's a great value, and is "attached" (sort of) to... more
We stayed at this hotel for only one night and had a pleasant stay. The hotel room was nicely appointed (note: the room was small, but that didn't detract from the stay); the hotel has been renovated nicely. It's in a great location for shopping-- within walking distance to the Ala Moana Shopping Center. It's also easily accessible from the... more
Bad Beds!!!/ Pretty hotel with nice elevators that worked, the view was great from the 16th floor. BUT>>>the rooms were small and the beds were harder than in the stone age! I have stayed in rooms in 3rd world countries for $50 a night that had much nicer and newer mattresses. These must have been from the 70's! the Mgt.... more
I go to Honolulu each year to present workshops, so I'm not a typical tourist. Ala Moana caught my eye because it offered WiFi, had some in-room facilities such as microwave and fridge, and was very close to the convention center. The facility was clean and quiet, but with limited amenities in terms of regular restaurant hours, bar hours and... more
My husband was in Honolulu for work and was advised to stay here by a coworker. I joined him at the end of his stay here (three nights). The room was very nice and the lanai was wonderful. Location was excellent - close to shopping and dining. The tour desk was always willing to help when looking for places to... more
Since this is the second time I stayed there, I was able to compare it to what it was like in 1999. It has been completely renovated. It's very modern and clean. I was lucky to have a partial view of the Ala Moana Park. There is a refrigerator in every room, which was convenient for my 5 day stay... more
The hotel is convenient located close to Convention Center, but the area is not nice. The only nice place are the Hard Rock Cafe' and a huge mall on the opposite corner. The hotel is also far from Waikiki, and a little overpriced. Our room was very little and noisy. But clean. Also, they charge your car $15 per night... more
