This was the second hotel that we stayed at on this trip. The first hotel we stayed for 7 nights then this one for 2 nights. Nothing was included in the price. Pay to use the in room safe, free at other hotel. Pay to use internet which is in the lobby, free at other hotel in a special hospitality... more

We booked a two week stay at the Queen Kapiolani. We were familiar with this hotel and it's very convenient location, but had never been inside. We booked using Expedia.com and we don't usually travel using high end hotels so we didn't expect a lot. We knew going in that there was a possiblity we would not like the room... more

I stayed in a standard plus city view room for one week with my partner. I was very disappointed with the standards in this hotel. I booked the cheapest room that they have & it honestly felt as though they had no interest in budget travellers. When we first arrived the staff were pleasant & friendly but gave us no... more

We booked on line for A$148 per night and were happy with the hotel. At end of strip so its easy to find, good to travel to/from by bus. The rooms/hotel are in bad need of makeover but its clean enough. We had great views from our 17th floor room. we are going back to Oahu in 2 weeks and... more

I was able to book an ocean view room for $69 and was quite pleased with what I received for the price. My confirmation did include a free upgrade upon availability but when I arrived on October 26 I forgot to ask about it. I had a nice view of Waikiki, Honolulu Zoo and Diamond Head so when I saw... more

I am probably one of the most cynical travellers when it comes to hotel reviews, never trust anything written in catalogues or online and always attempt to stay with friends instead. This time however, I had to trust the reviews on here when booking this hotel through Expedia as I simply didn't know anyone in that most beautiful but far-flung... more

I've visited Hawaii more than 25 times in the last 30 years and have stayed at many hotels, including 4 or 5 stays at this one. The Queen Kapiolani has ocean view or dead-on, unobstructed Diamond Head view rooms for about $100 a night--sometimes even less if you book at the hotel's website. Yes, the hotel looks a bit tired... more

Got this room for 10 days at $69/night. Reading the reviews left on this website prior to going I was very skeptical. I learned a valuable lesson, don't listen to everything you hear. This hotel is old, needs renovating. If you want ammenities go somewhere else, if you want a room to sleep/shower in, book this hotel. Perfect location for... more

We stopped in Hawaii on our way to and from Australia Dec 2007-Jan 2008. A friend had recommended the Queen based on a stay from several years before. Although older, the hotel provided a clean and comfortable place to stay for our visit -- a one-night stay going over and several nights coming back from Australia. We were able to... more
