We are looking at our flight back from Male to Delhi as follows:

Male to Colombo

09.05 - 11.00

Colombo to Delhi

17.40 - 21.10

With a 6 hour stopover in Colombo is the airport ok to keep us going for 6 hours? Does the airport have day rooms etc...a bit worried we will be bored out of our senses!

Hi

Not much to do in Colombo Airport, except looking around overpriced shops.

There are 4 dayrooms available. Single cost USD 20, Double USD 25 for 12 hours.

There should be a lounge where you can pay for entry - about LKR 700. I can't remember which one.

Can you book the day rooms in advance? Are they nice?

Also what is the lounge like? Is it a business class lounge you pay for or is there a seperate lounge for long stopovers?

Hi again

I just saw the notice board outside the dayrooms on my way through the terminal. I did not actually use them.

I also just saw a notice (close to the dayrooms)about the lounge, so I don't know which lounge. I think fee was LKR 700-750.

There is no seperate lounge for long stopovers.

Try call the Airport (+940 1225 2861) for further information.
