Fantastic day out, brilliant views of all of the islands. An experience that we will never forget.Get there early - before lunch if you can as the queues build up. Wear sensible walking shoes. If you want to go all the way to the top you have to get a permit brfore you get there. Take something warm to wear at the top and don't forget your camera!

We were in Tenerife in 1999. Pico del Teide National Park was the number one sight there. The parking places on the road gave us a chance to amaze the wonderful panorama on the ocean. Then we went up by the funicular (3550 m), and the view on the top was breath-taking! The sky the sea merged toghether, the islands and clouds were 'floating' there. It was an incredible view !!!
